Really nice, peaceful place to come which makes you forget about the busy, noisy city centre just around the corner.

Beautiful parks situated along the banks of the River Ribble with varied pathways at differing levels. Avenham Park has a very quiet feel to it and has an excellent cafe, and a Japanese Garden, whilst Miller Park is more formal, with a decorative fountain, bandstand and stone stairway. The two parks are connected by pathways alongside the river and at a higher level, passing under the main West coast Railway line.

I don't like the hill in Avenham park but everything else is really good. Also i haven't been back because of some nasty people at parkrun on a Saturday morning and i won't be coming back until the new old tram bridge is built

A lovely spot for a hike, with well-maintained grass and neatly trimmed bushes - a rare treat for a park! It’s usually clean too, though you’ll want to keep an eye out for the cyclists on the Guild Wheel, who seem to think they’re in the Tour de France. They’re often going much faster than they should, and it feels like an accident waiting to happen (if it hasn’t already). The area feels a lot safer these days compared to years past, with far fewer unsavoury groups hanging around, which is a relief. Honestly, it’s one of the better parks in Preston, perfect for a peaceful stroll or a family outing. If it weren’t for the cyclists zooming past like their lives depended on it, this would easily be a 5-star park!

Very nice park but there was a man in a Hi-Vis next to the fountain and it looks like he drank all the water. The river is lovely though so there's still some water left for him to drink.

My favourite park in Preston. Lovely views and masses of space for football, walking the dogs and cycling. Decent bridges to the other side of the Ribble too. Must visit when in Preston on a sunny day.

Beautiful parkland in the centre of Preston. Well maintained and always popular with walkers, runners and cyclists alike. Great location for Parkrun every Saturday morning at 9:00 plus part of the famous Preston Guild Wheel. Avenham and Miller Parks are a real gem in the centre of the city.

Beautiful park in the heart of preston. Lovely to walk around, especially the Japanese garden and alongside the River Ribble. Really well kept and historic. Lovely.
